Holding hands with brands
As the Indian economy picks up, more global retailers want to open stores there.
But while foreign brands can get permission to run their own shops, most opt to have a joint venture or set up franchises instead.
Indian firm Arvind Brands partners with fashion labels including Gap and Calvin Klein and the 大象传媒's Shilpa Kannan asked their chief executive J Suresh why these foreign companies are choosing local partners.
