Ruff justice for dog owners
Barking and Dagenham Council are going to start DNA testing dog poo to identify dogs, and therefore their owners, responsible. If caught they will be fined up to 拢150.
The technology is being operated by an American company called PooPrints, and the first step is to record the dogs' DNA using mouth swabs.
Darren Rodwell, leader of Barking and Dagenham Council, explains the scheme to reporter Andrew Bomford.
