Medals, Meningitus & Motorway Chaos

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Army veterans say they're disappointed with a Leicestershire school's decision to sell it's Victoria Cross. The medal was given to Ashby Boys' Grammar after World War One by the mother of Lieutenant Colonel Phillip Bent, who died in action. We talk to Will Bennett, who is from Dix, Noonan, and Webb - Britain's biggest medal auctioneers.
Also, private doctors surgeries across Leicester and Leicestershire have been telling us that they're unable to take any new appointments to carry out meningitis B vaccines for children. We contacted a number of GP's, and all of them told us that they'd exhausted their supply of the medication. It comes just weeks after 2-year old Faye Burdett died of meningitis B, and harrowing images of her spread on social media. Since then a petition calling for all children to be given the jabs - not just those born after July 2015 - has received almost 800-thousand signatures. A date is yet to be set for a debate in the House of Commons, but because of the number of signatures one will be taking place.
And, with roadworks on the M69 between Hinckley and Leicester overrunning into the morning, we hear about the knock-on effect on the roads.

Also in the show, find out why it seems spring has sprung too soon for one flower show this weekend, how the changing of the seasons is causing problems for our native hedgehogs this year, as well as the growing number of people who are using private investigators to look into the lifestyles of their future husband or wife.
