Battle to keep Lawrence of Arabia's belongings in Britain
The British archaeologist T E Lawrence was immortalised on the silver screen as Lawrence of Arabia. His fame spread because of his daring military exploits in the Middle East during the First World War. Now the British government is battling to stop some of his possessions being sold abroad. Ministers have blocked the export of his dagger and robes, after they were sold to unnamed overseas buyers at auction. The 大象传媒's Mike Johnson spoke to Philip Neale, chairman of the T E Lawrence Society in London, about what he made of the efforts to keep the great man's possessions in his home country.
