Elderly woman 'left lying in own excrement' after three weeks of 'neglect'

The family of 86-year-old Joan Shelley of Burnham-on-Crouch claim she was neglected by social services for three weeks after leaving hospital. Her son Simon, who lives in West Yorkshire, says Mrs Shelley was left lying in excrement as his nearly 98-year-old father struggled without carers.
