After two days of intense talks in Brussels, the British Prime Minister says he has negotiated a deal to give the UK special status in the EU.
After two days of intense talks in Brussels the British Prime Minister says he has negotiated a deal to give the UK special status in the EU. Under the new terms, the UK will be exempt from further political integration, in-work benefits will be denied to EU migrant workers for four years and Britain will have the right to supervise financial institutions and markets to preserve financial stability. The European Council president Donald Tusk said the European leaders had done all they could to keep Britain in the EU, ahead of a British referendum on the issue. We look more closely at the arguments for and against the UK leaving the EU.
