Louise and Ivor: Negative Attitude
A retired photographer still hopes that his daughter will preserve his archive of half a million negatives in the digital age. Ivor worked as a professional photographer for over sixty years, and he covered some of the biggest stories in West Cumbria, including the Windscale nuclear accident. Louise his daughter was his assistant for thirty three years, but time and technology have moved on, and now the question of what will happen to his archive of over half a million negatives when he is gone, is threatening the peace between them. Louise hoped giving him a scanner two years ago to digitise the images would solve the problem, but Ivor is determined that the originals are preserved for posterity. . . .
