Bottom and the other Rude Mechanicals are going to be played by amateurs throughout the country in a new Royal Shakespeare Company production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Erica Whyman, the Deputy Artistic Director of the RSC, was faced with the challenge of how to rehearse with these 14 different amateur groups across the UK.
