How gang violence affects mental health
The violence experienced by people who are in gangs, or who live in areas where this type of violence is a regular occurrence, can lead to severe mental health problems.
Lucy Martindale is 26 years old and grew up surrounded by gangs, ten members of her family or friends have been killed as a result of gang violence.
She experiences post traumatic stress disorder as a result.
She spoke with gang members about the effects violence has had on their lives and their mental health.
