Driving Tests with Jim, David & June!
Recently on the phone in Jim Davis was discussing older drivers.
It followed the tragic incident when a man was killed in a head on collision on the M1 in Leicestershire - after an elderly motorist drove the wrong way up the carriageway. Currently when you reach 70 years old, you merely have to self-declare to the DVLA every three years that you are still fit to drive, but some feel that regular tests should be in place to ensure everyone's safety.
June White from Evington called during the phone in to tell Jim she was interested in doing a driving assessment to check on how she was doing.
So, thanks to David Hage, a Leicestershire driving instructor and chair of the Leicester branch of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, Jim organised for that to happen.
Jim met David outside June's home to ask him what the assessment would involve.
