'It was so clear the chimps were doing amazing things'
Jane Goodall was sent to study chimps by the famous palaeontologist Louis Leakey. Her observations on how they use tools, their emotional range and different personalities revolutionised our understanding of primates. She describes her close bond with chimp David Greybeard and what chimps taught her about motherhood.
