Officials in California voted against proposals that would have required performers in porn films to wear condoms and other protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Industry representatives were concerned it would either destroy thebusiness or force it underground, making it more dangerous for performers. Adult movie actor, Ela Darling spoke at the hearing.
