The Rice Women of Luzon
Luzon is a remote Philippino island, where life has stayed the same for centuries
Life has stayed the same for centuries in the rice terraces of the Philippino island of Luzon – until now, when it's threatened by globalisation.
Also on the programme: A daughter talks about how she doesn't want to follow her mother onto the rice terraces, and instead wants her own home and business. But other poor families do not have this choice for their own children. Should rural communities like these receive more government investment?
