Would a Scandinavian-style economy work in the US?
For those of you who watch the US presidential debates, you may remember this exchange a few months back between Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton; Sanders, who calls himself a democratic socialist, said, 鈥淚 think we should look to countries like Denmark, like Sweden, and Norway and learn from what they have accomplished for their working people鈥. Clinton responded, 鈥淚 love Denmark鈥, but also largely dismissed the idea of being like Scandinavia. She said we shouldn鈥檛 turn our backs on American-style capitalism.
