What did police know about Rotherham abuse?

Three brothers who abused young girls in Rotherham, over a period of more than fifteen years, have been jailed for a total of seventy-nine years. They were found guilty earlier this week of a string of offences, including rape.

Lawyer David Greenwood representing 65 sexual abuse victims in Rotherham wants South Yorkshire Police to hand over confidential documents about the case.

"We've heard repeatedly that a project called the 'Risky Business Project', which was set up by the council in Rotherham passed intelligence in to the police about the activities of these men. We want to know what the police did with that intelligence."
