Tony Blackburn: “I had been asked to resign”
Tony Blackburn has spoken to Broadcasting House on Radio 4 in his first broadcast interview since parted company with the ý over the evidence he gave to the Dame Janet Smith inquiry.
Tony Blackburn told presenter Paddy O'Connell how he came to lose his job:
"I had been asked to resign. They gave me the chance to resign saying, 'That way you don't cut off all ties with the ý and we could probably bring you back in a few months'...I said no I wouldn't do that."
