The Al-Azhar mosque in Cairo is the most prestigious centre of learning in Muslim life and teachings, and has been reshaped along the lines of university learning in recent years. The programme looks at the study and practice of Dawah (the preaching of Islam) within this mosque and other mosques round the world, including South Africa.
