Tiny Cape Verde are Africa's best team
The tiny island nation of Cape Verde has made a remarkable rise to the top of African football. According to the latest Fifa rankings, the Blue Sharks are now 31st in the world, which is the highest of any African team. It's an impressive achievement for a country with a population of just over 500,000, although many of their players come from Cape Verdean diaspora in Europe. Until recently their assistant manager was Bruno Romao - he told Outside Source the secret to their success.
