Ethnic minority women say cancer symptoms down to fate
Ethnic minority women in England are more likely to believe cancer symptoms are down to fate and that cancer is incurable, according to new research from University College London. Researchers have interviewed 120 women from each of the 6 major ethnic groups in the UK, which included Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi women.The study says at least half of the British Asian women questioned thought cancer was down to fate. There is also a feeling that cancer is incurable amongst the same group of women. In this interview the lead author behind the research Charlotte Vrinten speaks to 大象传媒 presenter Ajmal Hussain about the findings
