Martín Espada, Latino poet and professor in the USA, talks about how poetry allowed him as a young man to express his experiences of social injustice. He has just published a new collection, A Mayan Astronomer in Hell's Kitchen to follow the success of his 1996 volume, Imagine the Angels of Bread.
