Jason and Kim: A New Town A New Life
A job in a different town from where she grew up has given a disabled woman a fresh start in life. Kim works for the Keswick Soap Co, a social enterprise that gives disabled people six months work experience - she made such an impression on Jason the manager that she now works full time as their communications assistant. Now Keswick might only be twenty two miles away from Workington, where she was born and brought up, but it might as well be another planet as far as Kim is concerned. Working in the shop has given her the confidence to be herself, and Kim has lost three and half stone since she joined the team, and now helps other disabled people find their feet when they start there.
