Forced to 'surf' a tsunami
At the tail end of 2004 German photographer Ralf Obergfell was in southern Thailand, taking pictures of people who make a living on the water. He had spent a few weeks getting to know members of the Chao-Ley tribe on a small island in the Andaman Sea, and had got into the habit of going out with them on their fishing trips looking for barracudas. On the 26th December another trip was planned - but this one would go disastrously wrong.
