The Taiwanese company, Foxconn, says it has agreed a deal to take over the struggling Japanese electronics giant, Sharp. Foxconn is buying two thirds of Sharp for about $3.5bn. It's the first foreign takeover of a major Japanese electronics firm. Ana Swanson writes for the Washington Post.

The former Brazilian footballer Pele is suing the electronics giant Samsung accusing it of improperly using a lookalike in an advertisement. He's claiming more than $30m over the ad which ran in The New York Times without his permission. Pele's lawyer Frederick Sperling of Schiff Hardin explains the case.

The Republican frontrunner in the US presidential election Donald Trump has shifted his position on abortion - just hours after making controversial comments on the issue. He said in an interview that if abortion was a crime then the woman who had a termination should be punished, but he then said the doctor should be held legally responsible.
