Stoke chairman: Footballers paid 'too much too soon'
Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has said he is worried the high pay some young footballers receive means they do not "develop their careers".
"You could argue they get too looked-after. We do too much for them," he said.
"The problem is we are in a very competitive environment and you try and look after them as best you can."
