The EU's five largest economies have agreed to share information on secret owners of businesses and trusts, in a bid to clamp down on firms and wealthy individuals who operate without paying correct taxes. But in India, one of the country's poorest states is hoping to raise revenues by going after small businesses - namely street vendors of samosas. The 大象传媒's Rahul Tandon reports how the measure has been received in the state of Bihar, while we ask professor Mick Moore, chief executive officer of the International Centre for Tax and Development in the UK, if it is ever fair to tax small businesses that operate in an economy's informal sector. And Jinny Yan, chief China economist at ICBC Standard Bank, tells us why applause for China's most recent growth figures has been muted.
