Hawking: 'We must spread to stars to survive'
Professor Stephen Hawking is backing a project to send tiny spaceships to another solar system within a generation.They would travel trillions of miles, far further than any previous craft.
Professor Hawking said it was the next logical step for mankind, because life on earth faced dangers from astronomical events like asteroids.
