An introduction to Italian presented by Eoghan Macdonald.
In this programme, Eoghan meets with Italians born in Scotland. He hears how they continue to celebrate their unique culture and heritage, in particular through their great love of food and cooking.
Chatter is designed as a starting point to let children hear what various non-English languages sound like, and to encourage them to speak them. The series demonstrates the languages in an entertaining way, and familiarises the young listener with useful words and simple phrases.
Across six programmes, there is the opportunity to hear Italian, German, Mandarin, Scottish Gaelic, Spanish and French as spoken by native speakers, and active learners of different ages. Festivals, competitions, celebrations and family life are featured.
