Who tells the Queen what her MPs are up to?
A government whip, the Vice Chamberlain of the Household, writes the monarch a dispatch every evening to explain what MPs have been debating.
Janet Anderson, who did the job in the early years of the Blair government has published her missives in a volume called Dear Queen, and some of them have been dramatised by 大象传媒 Radio 4.
She spoke to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics, along with with current occupant of that role, the Conservative MP Kris Hopkins.
