Reporting on Children as Suicide Bombers
Is it right to use the term Suicide Bomber when referring to a child?
Richard Clark, editor of the Radio News Room at 大象传媒 World Service responds to listener Cynthia Gualy from Houston, USA. She is concerned that the term suicide bomber, used when referring to children, implies choice. She is asking the news team to reconsider it鈥檚 use of language when reporting on these stores. Richard explains his position. Is the 大象传媒 World Service getting it right and, if not, what is the alternative?
Also, listeners from Kenya and the UK have been in touch to say why they believe the latest episode of The Food Chain on Bottled Water has had a positive influence on the world.
