Who's leading WHO?
Whether you're worried about Ebola making a comeback or cancelling that trip to Brazil for the Olympics because of Zika, the person who gets the top job in health will have an impact on the world's wellbeing. Based in Geneva, the powerful director general of the WHO grounded all planes in and out of Canada during the SARS outbreak in 2009. But the WHO was criticised for not acting quickly enough during the early stages of the Ebola outbreak in west Africa.
So will the next leader have the clout to deal with thorny issues like growing antibiotic resistance and eradicating polio?
