We go back to May the 6th in 1994 when the Channel Tunnel was officially opened by the Queen and President Mitterand.
We go back to May the 6th in 1994 when the Channel Tunnel was officially opened by the Queen and President Mitterand. It's now considered one of the "Seven Wonders of the Modern World" by the American Society of Civil Engineers, alongside the Empire State Building. It took 6 years to build and cost 5.8 billion pounds.
