My Cultural Revolution
Yuwen Wu of 大象传媒 Chinese was 9 years old when the Cultural Revolution started. In May 1966, Mao Zedong called on the youth to purge 'impure' elements of society and revive revolutionary spirit. 50 years on, Yuwen has published a gallery online of posters and objects which sum up that time - things like Chairman Mao's Little Red Book and the armbands worn by the Red Guards. Yuwen shares memories of a world turned upside-down.
