Prevent, Protect and Promote
Donna Annand had everything to live for when she died at the age of 29 in 2011 after a long battle against stage 4 malignant melanoma.
Donna wanted the disease's profile to be raised for a better chance of early detection and treatment to improve people's chance of survival.
Her loved ones followed through with her wish and on the island we now have the Donna Annand Melanoma Charity.
The charity's mission is to prevent, protect and promote the early detection of skin cancer.
Charlie McArdle spoke to her sister Louisa and Kerry Petula, friend and chairwoman of the charity they set up in her memory.
