‘We need our independence back’
Former British Foreign Secretary Lord Owen supports Britain leaving the EU. David Owen was Britain’s Foreign Secretary from 1977 until 1979. In the 1990s he served on the EU’s behalf as co-chairman, with the former US Secretary of State Cyrus Vance, in what proved to be a thwarted attempt to stave off war in Yugoslavia. The recording was made during a World Questions debate in London.
