In the United States, the Marsalis family are a jazz dynasty. Ellis, a pianist, and five of his six sons have all enjoyed successful careers.

Branford, his second son, is a Grammy award winning saxophonist. On Saturday, he will bring the music from 'In My Solitude', the first album he's made without accompaniment, to Bath Abbey.

He says the inspiration came from a performance at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Branford Marsalis also told Shaun Ley where he feels some jazz musicians are going wrong.
