The story of Ethiopian Hirut Abebe-Jiri and the fight to bring her torturer to justice

Thousands were killed and tortured in the Red Terror which followed the overthrow of Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia in the 1970s. This is the story of one survivor of torture, Hirut Abebe-Jiri, her battle to bring her torturer, Kelbessa Negewo, to justice and the setting up of an archive documenting that period of history.
