The Battle of Somme, Interserve's Contract & Jim vs Jo!
Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.
It took the lives of thousands of young men and it changed military conflict forever. And today, people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland will join others across Britain, and beyond, in marking the 100th anniversary of the start of one of the bloodiest battles of World War One - the Battle of the Somme.
It's now several months since the surprise decision by Leicester's hospital bosses to terminate their contract with a private cleaning and catering company. Interserve had a seven-year deal worth three hundred million pounds to provide cleaning, catering and maintenance services at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the General and the Glenfield.
In February the firm and the Trust came to an agreement to end the contract three years early, saying it was "no longer appropriate".
Jim vs Jo continued on the programme this morning, where they faced a challenge as to who could make the best ice cream flavour. All in honour of Creative Ice Cream Flavour Day of course! Jim currently leads 2-0, but can Jo begin to fight back?
