There are many benefits to living out in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, but as you get older or perhaps if you struggle to get around as well as you once did - the pretty villages with their lack of public transport and amenities can mean some people are stuck at home on their own for days at a time.

This worried Vera Harding - she's a Parish Nurse based in NW Leicestershire and you may remember Jo Hayward joined her on her rounds earlier this year. She took matters into her own hands and formed the Olive Branch Club which meets each month.

Jo went to their latest gathering at Thornton Baptist Church earlier this week to meet some of those involved.
