Veteran director George Cukor, who came to Hollywood at the same time as the 'talkies' developed, recalls the stars he has directed. He talks about working with actresses including Greta Garbo, Katharine Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe and explains that leading artists are usually much more intelligent and easy to work with than the public realises.
