English Footballer Matthew Upson understands Jamie Vardy's decision to stay at Premier League Champions Leicester City.
The Foxes have said the England striker will sign an extended four-year contract after he was the subject of a reported 拢20m bid from Arsenal before the start of Euro 2016.
Upson said: "He's so comfortable there and he's played some fabulous football in a team that really does cater to his strengths.
"I can really understand the decision he's made, it must have been such a tough one because, having played for Arsenal, when that club comes calling its so hard to turn down."
Matthew Upson signed a one year contract for Leicester City shortly after they were promoted to the Premier League in 2014, he left the club at the end of that season.
He joined Arsenal in 1997, representing the gunners 56 times before permanently moving to Birmingham City in 2003.
Upson was speaking to 5 live's Eleanor Oldroyd.
