Former Wales striker Dean Saunders says he didn鈥檛 expect Wales to progress to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, and has been surprised by their progress.

Wales are playing in their first major tournament since 1958, and are through to the last eight after beating Northern Ireland 1-0 in Paris.

鈥淚 parked in the short stay car park at Birmingham airport, I brought a small suitcase, I鈥檝e run out of clothes and I鈥檓 going to have a 拢1,000 parking bill when I get back, that鈥檚 how confident I was!" Saunders said.

鈥淎ll of a sudden we鈥檙e three games away from winning it,鈥� he added.
