John and David: Bowing out gracefully
David's friend and mentor has decided to call it a day from his youth theatre company. They first met forty years ago when as a twelve year old he joined the Green Room Players at the West walls Theatre in Carlisle. John has been a big part of the amateur dramatic scene in the city and used to write the script for the sell-out Christmas panto. But now 81 he wants to quit while he's still at the top of his game, and he doesn't want David to take it personally.
