The Secretary Who Became a Wimbledon Umpire
Jane Harvey on how her hobby led to a 30 year career as a professional tennis umpire, encompassing five Wimbledon singles finals and four Olympic Gold medal finals. She also became the first woman to umpire a World Group Davis Cup.
Harvey tells Today at Wimbledon's Paddy O'Connell how she became 'more popular than some of the players'. And Harvey addresses why Wimbledon has never had a woman officiate the men's singles final.
