Tour de France: Britain's Chris Froome wins stage eight

Chris Froome launched an attack down the final descent to win stage eight and take the leader's yellow jersey in the Tour de France.

The Team Sky rider, winner in 2013 and 2015, crossed the line on his own to take the 183km stage to Bagneres-de-Luchon in the Pyrenees.

British riders have now won five of the first eight stages of the Tour.
