Kim and Luke - Really Good at Laughing
Directed and Animated by Alexandra Hohner - Bristol School of Animation, UWE Bristol - May 2016.
Kim and Luke, mother and son, had a conversation about Ben, Luke's twin brother. Ben has a disability called global development delay.
Alexandra says, "I love the way they talk about the difficulties and joys of this condition. They talk about simple, everyday situations with optimism and humour. My animation is designed in a world which is quite similar to ours, but just a little bit different. I tried to represent a different view of this world with a 'cute' style similar to a children's book."
