Tanni Grey-Thompson: IPC's Russia ban a 'strong stance'
Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson says the International Paralympic Committee was right to ban the entire Russian team from the Paralympics in Rio de Janiero, and that it showed a 'really strong stance' on the doping claims.
She told Stephen Nolan that in contrast, the IOC has 'slightly passed the buck', and left decisions to international sport federations.
She added that she felt sympathy for innocent Russian para-athletes, because they don't get sponsorship or media coverage, and their funding is based on how they compete at major events, and Russia is not the only country with a doping problem.
