Jazz Carlin's Mum: ‘She always gives it her all’
Jazz Carlin’s Mum said she “shouted her head off” during Jazz’s race to win silver.
The Rio 400m freestyle silver medallist finished in eight minutes and 19.7 seconds, and was beaten again by record-breaking American Katie Ledecky.
Mary said “We’re still trying to let it sink in. For Jazz to come out on top of the rest of the field was amazing.”
She added: “Ledecky is like the female version of Michael Phelps, no one can touch her really, I don’t know what makes her that way but she is definitely one of a kind.”
