Fire crews from Eye, Stradbroke and Diss were called to a straw stack blaze at Church Lane, Stuston last night.

When they arrived the stack was well alight.

Crews allowed it to burn under supervision, maintaining a watch over the surrounding fields and hedgerows, damping them down to prevent the fire from spreading.

The incident was under control just over four hours after the initial call, which came in at 21:23.
