Wenger's transfer strategy is 'last minute larry'
Arsenal fan Peter bemoaned Arsene Wenger's caution in the transfer market, comparing it to booking a last minute holiday.
"Wenger’s transfer strategy is a bit like booking your holiday: Sir Alex Ferguson used to book his holidays and have them all paid for at the end of May when all his players would be in.
"Everybody’s noses would be out of joint and put back in joint by the beginning of August. They’ve all been on the pre-season tour, and been involved with the pre season training.
"Here’s Mr Wenger, yet again, last minute larry. We get any new players who are going to pitch up with 10% of the Premier League season gone before they even arrive in London," Peter said.
Despite coming under pressure from Gunners fans, the Frenchman confirmed on Saturday that deals for Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish striker Lucas Perez had been completed.
