Speaking ahead of England's first game under the management of Sam Allardyce, Jason Roberts, who played under 'Big Sam' at Blackburn, shared his thoughts on the new manager.

"One thing I liked about him was his motivational techniques," said the former striker.

"He also used to believe that after Christmas players were as fit as they could be."
